A cool contribution to the potluck.  It is light, cool and very easy.
One can of mandarin oranges drained, one can of chunked pineapple
drained, one can of cherry pie filling, one can condensed milk and one 8
oz container of Cool Whip.  Mix it all together, it is very pretty and
yummy.

Donna's Labor Day Recipe

Fresh Cucumbers.. usually 1
peeled and sliced and laid upon a cold plate.
Fresh Tomatoes... usually 2
sliced thin and laid upon the cucumber slices
coarse salt a fair amount sprinkled over the slices on plate
crumbled blue cheese sprinkled heavily over the salted slices
Olive oil poured carefully over all below.
This is so yummy.. go lightly on the coarse salt.  serve with a good steak, or anything else for that matter.

large cans Campbell's Pork and Beans (drain most of sauce  off)
One onion chopped fine
1/2 lb bacon (fried crispy and crumbled)
5 tablespoons brown sugar (or to taste)
3 tablespoons catsup
5 tablespoons hickory smoked barbeque sauce
1 teaspoon tabasco sauce (red or green) - another few shakes of  bottle
Other 1/2 pound of bacon (fried in strips) - lay on top of mixed  ingredients
Bake for about 1 hour at 275 or 300.  Let sit for 1/2 hour  before serving.
This can be fancied up by using a couple of cans of other beans  such as
cannelloni or red beans. Just increase ingredients  accordingly.
Easy and tasty.

I'm waiting to see all the good easy recipes!  Our cookbook  will be a really
good one!  Katherine Stubbs, Petaluma, CA
