Online Recipes

Online recipes at billsrecipes.com is the result of my wanting to have easy access to my favorites. Since my computer is on just about all the time, with my online recipes I can look stuff up faster than I could ever do it with something on paper. I am far too disorganized to be able to keep track of recipes or just about anything else either.

As long as I have them, why not share them with everyone, and maybe even see if I can make the site cover it's own meager costs. hmmm... lets give it a shot!

It all started one night at about 11:30. I got hungry and was looking for something to eat when I spied a familiar old round cardboard container of rolled oats.

I was instantly taken back to my child hood when I used to help my mother bake oatmeal cookies. (and eat the dough before it was baked into cookies)

I rummaged around in the pantry and lo and behold I had all the ingredients I needed to bake myself a big batch of oatmeal cookies. I set to work.

The brown sugar had turned into a granite block... but with a hammer and some power tools I was able to turn it into a half sand half gravel consistency.

I discovered a few interesting things like - you shouldn't take the electric mixer out of the bowl of batter until AFTER you turn it off. What a mess.

The cookies turned out great, much to my wife's surprise. After the oatmeal cookies I tried tollhouse cookies, and after that snicker doodles. Snicker doodles are a lot of work, but my wife goes nuts over them so I bake them for her occasionally. You know what they say... happy wife - happy life. :)

So anyway, I've decided to begin adding to this site occasionally as I find new stuff that I like.
